Ukrainian visit focused on green energy

In week 44, the association hosted a delegation from Ukraine, financed by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who visited North Jutland to learn about our work with the production of biofuels for the maritime sector.

The participants included leaders from companies and organizations already producing bioethanol in Ukraine, as well as a former and a current minister. It was an intense and highly insightful professional visit to relevant Danish/North Jutland companies, and a strong foundation was laid for future collaboration on building a biofuel industry in Ukraine after the war.

The photo shows the visit to BunkerOne in Aalborg. In addition, the delegation visited Alfa Laval A/S, Vrejlev Bioenergi, Everllence in Frederikshavn, Port of Aalborg, Blue World Technologies, Aalborg University, and spent half a day with maritime members of Aalborg Maritime & Logistics. During the latter, presentations were given by Wärtsilä Denmark, Desmi A/S, ECA Engineering ApS, Nordhavn Power Solutions A/S, and Hoyer Motors A/S.
